Co-Founder, ACORN OakNorth
Rishi Khosla is the co-founder of ACORN OakNorth, a fintech firm focused on unlocking the potential in bespoke SME lending globally.
In the UK, the firm operates as OakNorth - a bank that Rishi and his business partner founded in September 2015 to address the mid-market funding gap in the UK. Since then, the bank has lent over £1bn.
Last year, the Group completed a £250m investment round securing capital from: GIC (the Singaporean sovereign wealth fund), Coltrane Asset Management, Clermont Group and Toscafund – and valuing the company at c$1.3bn.
Prior to this, Rishi co-founded Copal Amba - a financial research outsourcing business which was acquired by Moody's Corporation (NYSE: MCO) in 2014 after it had scaled to 3,000 employees across 11 markets.
Rishi is an active venture investor and has provided early stage funding to several companies, including two multi-billion dollar companies: Indiabulls and PayPal.
