Founder and Chairman, Energy Blockchain Consortium
Tony is the founder and chairman of the Energy Blockchain Consortium. He’s a serial entrepreneur and an investor with over 25 years of experience in applying information technology in various industries including the Energy sector for the past 12 years. Earlier, as CEO of Bridge Energy Group, he grew the company to achieve a market leadership position as the coveted Smart Grid leader. He was also the Chief Architect of industry’s first Smart Grid Demand Response project at NV Energy in Las Vegas. As an entrepreneur & CEO, Tony has founded three companies with exits through an IPO and two M&As. Earlier in his career, Tony developed Distributed computing platforms, built Fault-tolerant commercial-grade transactional applications and designed Massively-parallel supercomputers with parallel databases at Kendal Square Research.
He has received numerous awards as a visionary and as an innovator. He’s Council Member Emeritus of the US Department of Energy’s GridWise Architecture Council, former Board member of OASIS and US National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Smart Grid Interoperability Panel. Tony is an avid speaker at conferences, holder of five USPTO patents and has authored numerous papers. Tony received Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering and Masters of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Massachusetts.
